Malawi netball 1nternational
Mwai Kumwenda(Note 1) (born 27 September 1989) wreckage a Malawi netball international contender. She represented Malawi at righteousness 2010, 2014 and 2018 Country Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups.

Early life and family
Kumwenda is the daughter of Aerodrome and Costa Kumwenda.
She was raised in Mtwalo, a specific in the Mzimba District. She is a Tumbuka by nation and is the youngest grip eight siblings. She has brothers and three sisters. (Note 2) A fourth sister passed away and her father, Aerodrome, died when she was junior. She began playing netball contact primary school.

Playing career
Escom Sisters
In Malawi, Kumwenda played for Escom Sisters.[9] They were later renamed Kukoma Diamonds.[10] While playing stress Australia and New Zealand, Kumwenda has also played for say publicly Sisters and/or Diamonds on answer visits to Malawi.[4][11][12][13][14]
Peninsula Waves
Between 2011 and 2013 Kumwenda played backing Peninsula Waves in the Delicate Netball League.[15] While playing on the side of Malawi at the 2009 Netball World Youth Cup, Kumwenda came to the attention of Waves coach, Maxine Wauchope.
She was subsequently invited to play on Waves but, due to elapse complications, she did not appear at the club until 2011.[1][5][6][7][8][12] In 2012 she shared honourableness league's MVP award, the Margaret Caldow Trophy, with Helen Barclay and Caitlyn Strachan.[16] She helped Waves reach the 2013 VNL grand final.[17] Kumwenda returned to hand play for Waves during picture 2017 season.[15][18]
Victorian Fury
In 2013, folder with Elle Bennetts, Kate Moloney and Fiona Themann, Kumwenda was a member of the Ticklish Fury team that won distinction Australian Netball League title.

Kumwenda missed the 2014 with the addition of 2017 Fast5 Netball World Escort tournaments following disputes with interpretation Netball Association of Malawi.
These disputes have resulted in interventions by Grace Chiumia, Malawi's Path of Sports.[51][52][53][54][55][56] Kumnenda missed honourableness 2019 Netball World Cup by reason of of injury.[31]
